About WorthTheCar
A second opinion on the car and the deal.
WorthTheCar is prepared and supported by WorthTheCar. We help used-car shoppers turn the available evidence into a practical decision: what to offer, where to stop, and what still needs checking.
A free price estimator can help you set a budget. Our paid service reviews the vehicle and deal details you submit, then explains a BUY, NEGOTIATE, or WALK AWAY recommendation. An analyst reviews the evidence and recommendation before publication.
1. Identify the vehicle and buying context
Start with a VIN or year, make, model, and trim. We use your asking price, mileage, ZIP code, and seller type to put the deal in context. Dealer type and certified pre-owned status add context when supplied. Missing or conflicting details may need clarification.
2. Review comparable market evidence
Available active inventory and recent comparable listings help establish a reviewed retail range. Differences in trim, mileage, location, seller, and listing age matter. Advertised prices are evidence of what sellers ask; they are not proof of completed sale prices.
The report explains the evidence behind the estimate and includes source links when available. We do not promise a fixed number of comparable vehicles or access to every source for every car.
3. Separate verified facts from unknowns
Ownership, accidents, and title status affect the valuation only when confirmed from a supported vehicle-history source, such as AutoCheck. Missing history stays unknown. Model-level safety and ownership context is labeled separately from evidence about the specific VIN.
4. Build and review the offer plan
Software-assisted research and pricing calculations support the analysis. An analyst checks the vehicle match, evidence quality, pricing, limitations, and final recommendation before approving publication. The estimate is not simply one provider’s number copied into a report.
You receive a Worth Score from 0–100, a decision, a reviewed value range, an opening offer, a recommended purchase limit, and supporting analysis. The score summarizes the assessment; it is not a probability that the car will be reliable or a guarantee of savings.
What the verdict can and cannot tell you
The verdict helps you evaluate the submitted deal. It cannot confirm physical condition, guarantee a seller will accept an offer, or provide a complete vehicle-history record. An independent inspection, title verification, and a written breakdown of the full purchase price remain essential.

Delivery and support
Verdicts are usually delivered within one business day after verified payment. Missing details, unavailable sources, or unusual vehicles can take longer. We email your private verdict link after review. Your private order-status page shows progress after checkout.
One vehicle verdict costs $9.99 as a one-time purchase, with no subscription. For a missing or materially incomplete verdict, email support@worththecar.com. We may correct or rerun the work, or issue an appropriate refund under our payment and refund terms.
