Terms of Service
These Terms form an agreement between you and WorthTheCar and govern your use of WorthTheCar. By selecting the button that continues to checkout, purchasing a vehicle verdict, or using a purchased verdict, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not continue to checkout.
Eligibility and authority
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. If you purchase for another person or an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for them.
The service
For a one-time charge of $9.99, we prepare one private vehicle verdict for the vehicle or listing you submit. The verdict may include a Worth Score, a BUY, NEGOTIATE, or WALK AWAY decision, a reviewed retail range, a suggested offer, a maximum recommended price, and supporting evidence. Checkout shows the final charge before payment. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.
Delivery and review
Research begins after the payment provider confirms payment and we have enough vehicle information to proceed. Verdicts are usually delivered within one business day after verified payment and final analyst review. Missing details, listing access, source availability, unusual vehicle information, and technical incidents can take longer. We email the private verdict link when it is ready. If you need help with an order, contact support@worththecar.com.
Your information and responsibilities
Provide accurate information that you are authorized to share. Do not submit payment-card data, government identification numbers, or unrelated personal information in vehicle fields or support messages. You grant us a limited right to use the submitted information and listing materials only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and fulfill the service. You remain responsible for your vehicle and purchase decisions.
Acceptable use
You may use a verdict for personal, lawful vehicle-shopping purposes. You may not resell verdicts, falsely present them as an appraisal or inspection, scrape or systematically extract the service, bypass access controls or rate limits, interfere with the service, test it for vulnerabilities without written permission, or use it to violate another person’s rights or applicable law.
Sources and third-party services
The service may rely on seller listings, public records, government sources, commercial research services, payment and email providers, and software-assisted analysis. Those services are independently operated and may change, delay, restrict, or provide incomplete or inaccurate information. References or links to third parties do not mean that we control or endorse them.
Important vehicle limitations
A verdict is an informational estimate, not a guarantee, warranty, appraisal, offer to buy or sell, legal or financial advice, mechanical inspection, insurance decision, title report, or complete vehicle-history report. We cannot verify physical condition, seller statements, future repairs, ownership, title, liens, accident history, or whether every recall applies to or has been repaired on a specific VIN. Arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection and verify title, ownership, recalls, records, financing, insurance, and transaction documents before buying.
Payments, problems, and refunds
Payments are processed by the provider identified at checkout. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, did not receive the purchased verdict, or received a materially incomplete verdict, email support@worththecar.com with enough information to locate the order. We may correct or reperform the service, or issue a refund when appropriate. A disagreement with an informational verdict or a later decision not to buy the vehicle does not by itself mean the service was not delivered. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable refund, chargeback, or consumer-protection rights.
Private links and availability
Your private verdict link is an access credential. Keep it confidential and notify support if you believe it has been exposed. We may restrict access or suspend activity when reasonably needed to protect customers, third parties, or the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent access to a third-party source, or that every requested source will return evidence.
Ownership and limited license
The service, branding, software, scoring presentation, and original report content are owned by or licensed to WorthTheCar. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the purchased verdict. You retain rights in information you submit.
Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and verdict are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a verdict will identify every issue, match a future sale price, or produce a particular transaction outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorthTheCar will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits or opportunities; loss of data; or losses arising from a vehicle purchase, sale, repair, financing, or use decision. Our aggregate direct liability arising from an affected verdict will not exceed the amount paid for that verdict. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, liability for death or personal injury that cannot be limited, or any other liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including third-party outages, unavailable records, network failures, labor disruptions, natural disasters, or government action. This section does not remove remedies that cannot be waived by law.
Resolving concerns
Please first email support@worththecar.com with the order details and a description of the concern so we can try to resolve it. This informal process does not extend a legal deadline or prevent either party from using remedies available under applicable law.
Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a new version and effective date. The version accepted for a purchase governs that purchase unless a change is required by law. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the referenced Privacy Notice are the entire agreement about the service unless we agree otherwise in writing.
