Privacy Notice

This notice explains how information is handled for WorthTheCar.

Information we collect

We collect the email address and vehicle or listing information you submit, which may include a five-digit ZIP used as approximate market location; internal order, payment-status, evidence, report, and delivery records; limited first-party funnel and site-sharing events tied to a random browser identifier, including the first public page in a session and paid-verdict link interactions; Meta Pixel and Google Analytics website and conversion events; and operational security data such as hashed network identifiers used for rate limiting. The payment provider receives payment details; we do not store full card numbers.

How we use it

We use information to create and deliver your vehicle verdict, including comparing dealer vehicles with the appropriate local market; process and reconcile payment; support customers; prevent abuse; operate the service; and measure privacy-safe aggregate funnel performance. Meta and Google Analytics may receive page, browser, network, site-sharing, checkout-start, and purchase-event information so we can measure advertising results. We do not send them the email, VIN, ZIP, vehicle details, order ID, or payment identifiers you submit. A random browser identifier and an unrelated conversion identifier connect a checkout to its verified purchase. We do not sell personal information.

Sources and service providers

Vehicle information may be sent to identified public or commercial research sources. We use infrastructure, database, payment, email, authentication, AI, and advertising-measurement providers as needed to operate and promote the service. Provider text is treated as untrusted, and AI output cannot set the score, verdict, or pricing.

Retention and security

We retain records only as reasonably needed for fulfillment, security, legal, accounting, and dispute purposes. Private verdict links use high-entropy credentials; only a keyed digest is stored. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your private verdict link confidential.

Your choices and rights

Your browser or device may provide controls that limit cookies and similar technologies, and content blockers may prevent analytics providers from loading. You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. We may retain information required for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or record-integrity obligations. Rights vary by location, and we will respond as applicable.
